About Mystic Paws Cat Rescue
Mystic Paws Cat Rescue is a nonprofit sanctuary dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing lifelong care for cats in need, with a special focus on Black cats. Black cats face the lowest adoption rates and are often overlooked due to superstition, bias, and long-standing myths. Our mission is to break these misconceptions and give Black cats the safety, love, and dignity they deserve.
As a sanctuary, Mystic Paws offers medical support, emotional rehabilitation, enrichment, and safe housing. While we do adopt out when the right family comes along, our primary focus is providing a permanent, peaceful home for cats who may never be adopted.
We incorporate healing practices such as sound-bowl frequency sessions during our weekly Whisker Wednesdays (live on tik tok) to reduce stress and help the cats feel calm and supported. These sessions also help educate the community and highlight the gentle, loving nature of Black cats.
